Dermaga is a company that provides a range of freight forwarding services, including customs clearance support, container delivery, and trade consultation. Mahardhika helped to enhance its branding by creating a brand new visual system to strengthen it’s identity.

To develop Dermaga visual identity, we started by defining its brand core value. We believe that with the excellence and agile assistance it present, Dermaga helps people to feel that the world is smaller than they can imagine. Thus being said, these five keywords we regard as the best representation of Dermaga’s personality; i. e. Reliability, Professional, Quickness, Small World, and Ease of Mind. We then translated the keywords into a visual language.

The design concept we’ve composed directs the way Dermaga’s personality visibly appear. We took the five keywords we’ve had created before and turned them into a visual description, that has given us clear concepts, i. e. rhythmic design and movement, grayscale with a striking blue, light with extra white-space, monochrome, and masculine typography. We built the new logo and the brand pattern with those as the basis.

Dermaga has five sub-divisions on which each gives a particular service. They are Freight Forwarding, Postal Service, Stevedoring, Trading, Shipping Agent and Custom Clearance. To keep one and another distinct, yet still, look like as a whole unity, we got a little help from the colour used. The same logo and brand pattern be applied but with featured colour for each sub-division. Therefore, it would appear as a well-developed visual system in any application.
